I went online and got the online renewal form (a snack to get).

I went to Walgreens and had my passport photo taken. The girl there just asked what country on their computer, it gave her all the specifications and within 10 mins I walked out with my pics.

Now I was going to Washington DC for work...so I planned an hr to be at the Embassy last Friday. I handed in my paperwork, my credit card ad old passport. They asked a few simple questions...and I was gone in 10 mins max.

My new passport arrived in Maine on Tuesday (that just one full working day and a day for the courier)!

I am so impressed. It took weeks and weeks and weeks for Madie and Jen and Ollie to get their passports.

The new Aussie passport has some new neat features...like 3 D kangaroos that 'jump' out of the pages at you!

So...a great,easy (but not cheap) experience!

We are moving our furniture back with "Southern Winds International"
and i must say they are a fantastic company to deal with.
Very professional and great staff.

So all our stuff will be leaving 24-25 July, exciting :)

We had contacted a few companies and the service was appalling with some and the cost, well say no more.

What are your weekend plans?

We have NONE for once (first time in months) although we really have to get moving on D's visa application! The plan was to have it in the mail this week but we are only about 50% done - we have received four statutory decs from family and friends and are only waiting on 2 more, we have a HUGE pile of paperwork proving we have been in a de facto relationship for eight years, we've sent off for FBI background check stuff, we've had our critical documents copied and certified and we only have a few sections of the actual application forms (all three of them) to complete, but its going to be a huge effort putting it all together!

My wife's uncle says to check the online sites regularly and be prepared to pounce 'cause the deals sometimes only last a day or so.

Allow me to be a bragging parent for just a minute.

My oldest daughter won 3 state gymnatics titles at the MI championships for her level. Then went on the win the Uneven Parallel Bars Regional Title in Illinois.

The second daughter was in a dance class with some of the girls from "Dance Moms" and was asked to do a trio in the class with Maddie from the show, and another girl.

Things are settling down. The gymnastic season is over, and dance nationals are a couple of months away. Time to take a breath.

I looked into it and didn't realise that with an e printer you could print from anywhere, not just in your home but from anwhere you happen to be. I love that idea!! It means I could be working on stuff at school, click print, and when I got home it would be all printed up for me. WOW!!
