New Aussies

I am so proud to announce that we now have 4 new Aussies (my kiddos). It was so cool. They were awarded citizenship on Jan 19th and we did our own ceremony on Australia Day. I rolled up the certificates and tied them with green and gold ribbon tape. We had a BBQ. After dinner I played the Aussie anthem (love YouTube) and handed them their certificates, welcoming them as Australians. They were so excited. After that they celebrated with a cake that read "Congratulations Aussies" for desert.

It was so cool...During desert the 6 year old asked when she would get her "Australian voice"...how cute is that?

I am so happy that my kids are Australian. I don't know why it took so long for me to do it, but I am so glad that I did.
