Yet another way to connect to MUO, for those who want to only! :) This is especially for Facebookers. We now have integration between Facebook and MUO. What this means, is that you can now read and interact with MUO forums without leaving your Facebook page. It's actually pretty cool, but was a bi*ch to install. Here's what it looks like in FB:

I'm not a big Facebooker, so my instructions may be lacking a bit. But here we go:

At the top of the Matesupover page, click on the FB Connect button.
Click Allow. This simply allows you to be logged in when using the MUO Forums app in FB.
Go to http://www.facebook.com/matesupover (http://www.facebook.com/matesupoverIn)
In the left sidebar, click on MUO Forums.
Like all Facebook apps, it show you a heap of permission requests. I have no control over this - it's a Facebook thing for all FB apps. Click Allow.
Go back to your FB page, and find the MUO Forums app in your app listing. Click on it to open it.
You now have access to all the MUO forums, within Facebook.

Just so you know, Matesupover, me, the mods, or any other MUO users can't access or see any of your FB posts, etc, unless you have them as friends.

Aurora, Snooky, or Wizbin - please fill in the blanks if I've left out anything Facebook related. :) I'm so useless with FB, my own page is a mess. :)

Have fun, and just understand that this is yet another way you can access the MUO forums. There is nothing requiring you to add the app to your FB page - it's an "if you want it" only thing.

Great job Rose! The only thing I would add is that it is easiest to do if you are already logged in to both sites. So, if you don't automatically stay logged in, you need to do this first:

Go to FB and login, go to MUO and login THEN follow Rose's steps above.

Rose, great instructions. However, the link in your post, while it says http://www.facebook.com/matesupover actually links to http://www.facebook.com/matesupoverIn - which does not exist.

Copying & pasting it works.

Looks great Rose. :) Just so Chrome people know...it worked for me on Safari, but not Chrome.

It has worked for me in IE, Firefox and Safari. I refuse to enter the world of Chrome!

Ditto to refuse to use Chrome! I'm a Firefox gal and worked fine :D
