Can anyone recommend a good tax agent and if it matters one who is experienced with Aussie related issues? I am based in San Jose, CA. Moved here for work in October 2011.
Also can we claim moving expenses, such as the airfares and accommodation for coming over here to start the new job?
Besides declaring my Aussie 2011 income (rent & wages), is there any other considerations or documents/receipts I should have ready for preparing the tax return?

There are a bunch of issues, and a number of potential issues depending on your circumstances.
My company has a whole international tax department that could help.
I'm not sure if this new site has PM's, but if it does PM me and I'll give you my work information.

G'day I am a married aussie guy in the US. I am disabled and get a disability support pension from Australia. Does anyone know how I claim that on the US tax forms. Been on hold with the irs for 2 hours talked to 6 people none of them know. Each year when I do the taxes I get it wrong and they amend my return. But no one there can tell me where I am supposed to put it.
