LOL, that would be my "flag" too. Unfortunately none of our windows can be seen from the street, so the gesture would be somewhat hollow. I have told my husband he has to treat me well today.
My flag is out front. :flag_aus:
Happy Australia Day to all mates, near & far.

My flag is out front, too. I'll be having a Lemon, Lime & Bitters or two today to celebrate.
Oh yeah... the Bundy LL&B was a Christmas gift from my niece and nephew. They got me a total of 12 bottles of that and eight bottles of Bundy Ginger Beer. I'm in heaven!

Fire up the Barby with some snags, chill the coldies, and hit the beach!

I brought in a plate of vegemite sandwiches for my workmates. One liked them and the other two found them "interesting".

I've got the flag flying out the front. Got some pie filling cooking as we speak. There will be pies and sausage rolls for dinner tonight with Carol and a couple of American mates. No big Oz Day bash this year - just a nice quiet Aussie feast with a bottle of Koonunga Hill to wash it down with. Have a great day Mates.

Got the t-shirt out, wore the hat that came in the Sunday Mail, went to a BBQ on the foreshore, ate a lamington, saw some drunken yobbos on the beach at a Facebook party start a fight and get hauled away in a paddy wagon (film aired on TV the next day), ate pavlova and heard someone bash up something (a front door or window?) across the road. At least the rain stayed away for the occasion!
I made meat pies yesterday, in celebration. I put the whole deal on my blog.

Had a great day yesterday with a bunch of new Aussies I met thanks to TwoUp...funny how "Australian strangers" can feel like old friends. :)
And best of all....most of them were Victorians :yeah2:

Go the Mighty Vics!!
I baked what seemed like all night Wednesday. I made caramel slice, mars bar slice, lemon slice, chocolate crackles, strawberry puffs, honey joys and sausage rolls. I also took to school the ingredients to make fairy bread:flag_aus:
All the food was a hit with our students, which is saying a lot as some of our guys are very particular about what they eat. The fairy bread with this group though was a dud.
All in all it was a very nice day:)

I had a rather crazy week at work, so the only thing I did to celebrate was order from www.simplyoz.com and feast on lollies. Shared with the kiddos at school.

I would have LOVED to hang out with other Aussies on Australia Day, and would gladly have shared my goodies;)
