Hello everyone - glad to see you back.

Please keep problems associated with the new forums to this topic. It's tidier that way. :)

Report away!

If you get a message saying that you are banned, don't sweat it. Let one of us know. It's a problem that happened with the attempted data migration, and is no reflection on you as a person. :D

What happened to our personal titles and my weight ticker?

What happened to our personal titles and my weight ticker?

The personal titles (for those of us that have them) are in the process of being reinstated. Remember, there are still a LOT of things that we need to work on, and some have higher priority than others ;). As to your ticker, I notice for me that HTML code is turned off (scroll to the lower right of any page to see the settings). Prolly another on the list of things Rose is working on.

As for me, I'm slogging away at reinstating the smilies...

Ah ... no, I've turned HTML off on purpose. Too risky with hackers. Could do a LOT of damage.

ok I was in the thread about party time trying to put up some music - which I finally worked out - so I wanted to delete the other two posts as there was no need for them to stay up - but I couldn't - you may want that Rose but not sure thx

You as a member are only able to edit/delete a post within a limited time frame (same as the old board). If you reallly want/need something ghanged you will still need to contact one of your friendly neighbourhood moderators.

@Twoup - I deleted one earlier today, you have to click edit to do it, go into the that screen and then there is a delete option. Or at least there was for me :)

Rose - I tried to get a vid embedded this morning...but it would not do it for me. Am I missing a new trick?

Rose

Gazza, you know I couldn't work it out either. :) But I had seen a post about it - http://www.matesupover.com/showthread.php?68415-Party-time-here

That will help. :)

If any of you are stil getting a weird green screen at login, please hit the logout button at the top right of the page and log back in.

You will see the default vbulletin blue scheme that we are going to keep for a little bit while Rose tweaks the fancy green MUO scheme.

If you can read this, then this won't apply, but if someone you know cant get in, EVEN AFTER FOLLOWING THE ABOVE SUGGESTIONS, I can personally fix it via the contol panel, if they (or you) let me know.

Is it just me or is the time when people post incorrect?
When I post in the a.m. it says p.m.

Make sure you've set your time zone in your profile. :)

This is just a matter of convenience, but it would be nice if we had the side menu back showing the various rooms rather than having to go back to the Forum page to switch.

Right where you just typed that, Wim, there is a Quick Navigation bar that you can use to get to any other forum.

Sorry Rose, but the Quick Navigation bar is not there.

Hi Wim,

At any stage while you're in forums, you can navigate to other forums. Here's how:

Within any forum, there is what's called breadcrumbs at the top-left of each forum.

143

If you click on Forum, it will take you straight back to the forum listing.

Once in any forum, you can scroll to the bottom of the page, and see the Quick Navigation to the right of the Post New Thread button.

When reading any thread, you can scroll to the bottom of the page, and see the Quick Navigation to the right of the Reply to Thread button - shown in the image in my previous answer.

Hope that helps. :)

OK, I see where the problem is. I like to see the newest posts first, which means they are at the top of the last page when I go the forum. That means I have to go to the bottom of the page to use the Quick thingy. For strange folks like me, is there a way to put the Quick Nav at the top of the page. Just asking (nicely).

When I tried to log in I couldn't remember my password (it's been a while). There was no "I'm an idiot and don't know my password" anywhere on that screen - that I could see anywhere. I eventually was able to reset by searching for "I've forgotten my password" and found the reset link there.

Hi Wim, not something I'd planned, but I'll look into it. :) The last time I played with a template, I broke the site, so ... we'll see. :)

How does one start a post in this forum? Nothing has been posted yet and there is no 'Start New Post' button.
