There are a number of video standards worldwide. AUS uses a system known as PAL, whereas the USA uses a system called NTSC. I'm not going to go into the technical details of the differences between the 2 systems here - there are a number of other web sites that explain these things & do it a lot better than I ever could. What I want to do here is answer the everyday questions that I know I had when I first came here & I'm sure some of you have also.
