Ingredients:
- 2lb beef steak
- 2 tab.sp oil
- 1/2 packet of bacon, diced
- 2 onions chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 teaspoons of mixed herbs
- 1 pkt of frozen puff pastry
- 1 cup of beef stock
- 1 1/2 cups of red wine
- 4oz of mushrooms sliced
- 1/4 cup of parsley
- 2 tab. of flour

Method:
- Cut meat in cubes and brown in melted oil and butter in a large saucepan.
- Remove meat.
- Saute bacon, onion, garlic in the saucepan.
- Stir in flour, stock, wine and herbs.
- Return meat to pan and simmer for 1 hour (the longer the better on low heat).
- Stir in mushrooms and cook for 15 minutes.
- Line a 9" greased pie plate with puff pastry sheet, pour in meat.
- Cover with puff pastry sheet, brush with milk.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until brown.
