Chocolate Self-Saucing Pudding - from Rose

This is my Mum's recipe and it's easy, foolproof, and very yummy!

Pudding Ingredients:
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup milk
Sauce Ingredients:
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 ¾ cups boiling water

Method:

  1. Sift flour, salt and cocoa, then add sugar. Stir in milk and butter. Pour into ovenproof dish.
  2. Mix sauce ingredients together and pour over main mixture, then cover.
  3. Bake at least 40 minutes at 350 F. When serving, the sauce will be under the pudding mixture.
  4. Serve with cream or custard.
