Ingredients:
- 1 packet butter cake mix
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 125g melted butter
- 250g sour cream (You may wonder about using sour cream but please trust me)
- 1 tin pie apples
- Cinnamon
- Castor sugar

Method:
- Mix butter cake mix (DO NOT add ingredients i.e eggs, milk, water or oil to make cake mix as directed on cake mix box- JUST ADD THE DRY CAKE MIX), add coconut and melted butter and mix well.
- Press into a greased slice tin and prick with fork making small indentations - this will allow the mixture to brown evenly on top.
- Bake in moderate oven (180C) for 15 - 20 mins.
- Allow to cool slightly then spread tinned apples and sprinkle with sugar.
- Spread sour cream over top and dust with cinnamon.
- Bake for a further 30 mins on 180C. Serve hot or cold.
- VARIATION: You can add any tinned fruit of your choice, berries and apples make a very tasty slice. Served hot with icecream is to die for. ENJOY!!!
