  • I decided early on that I was going to enjoy the differences, it isn't everyone who is given the chance to live in another country with the person that they truly love. At the moment I really have to listen hard to hear the American accent as it all sounds quite normal. I guess what I am trying to get at is, why am I not homesick? Why is is that everyone I have talked to has either been homesick or going through it. Am I missing a homesickness gene or something? - Pauline
