About Branson

While Branson, MO has much to offer regarding entertainment, it is the goal of this MatesFest to take advantage of the beautiful surrounding countryside, for a more "rustic" MatesFest. We will be aiming for "the best of both worlds", with cabins, BBQs, and getting together with everyone, while ensuring there is plenty of nightlife and other entertainment as well. Accomodations

The MatesFest committee has chosen the Tribesman Resort as the preferred MatesFest accommodation. They have a lot to offer a MatesFest group and prices for cabins are very reasonable. The resort is set within a "football field" size area, so select the cabin that is right for you. We'll all be within "cooee" of each other.

  • You can share cabins with up to 6 - 8 people in some cases, or select a smaller private cabin - whatever your preference.

Things To Do

The 2008 MatesFest will concentrate heavily on "getting-together". The focus will be on outdoor activities, BBQs, having a few drinks together, and just enjoying each other's company. The Tribesman Resort is perfect for this, with many outdoor BBQ areas, a central pavillion, hiking trails, picnic pontoons, and lovely lakes and woods. Perfect for a bunch of Aussies/Americans.

As always, we'll have a couple of special events planned for MatesFest, and this information will be coming soon. Don't make plans for the Saturday night, as this is traditionally the main MatesFest event.
