Welcome to Mates Up-Over! While this website is primarily for Australian expats in America, our welcome extends further than that. If you're an Australian or New Zealand expat anywhere overseas, or a spouse/family member of one, please come on in and join us. This community support site also includes Americans in Australia.

Australian expats and Kiwi expats in America will find a wealth of information on Mates Up-Over which will not only help to ease the expat experience, but also provide support, community, and friendship along the way. Read expat stories of other Australians in America, Australian and American immigration experiences, assimilation tips for the unwary Australian expat, and many other helpful pages all written specifically for Australian expats in America, and of course our Kiwi friends.

Whether you are searching for some Australian expat interaction, support with Australian expat issues, or just Australian in America information .. please do join us. We'll always try to help if we can, and if we can't .. we'll make it up.

Before you start, grab a beer or a coffee - you'll be a while.

Are you a new Australian Expat in America?

If you're a new Australian expat to Mates Up-Over (aka MUO), there is so much for you to do you may not know where to start. So here's our recommendations.

We can't emphasize this enough. The Pub, The Pub, The Pub! This is where we all hang out, and where the most fun is. Just like a real Aussie pub. New Australians in America will be so delighted with this fun-filled support community that you'll not want to leave for a while.

This is where you register so that other Australians in America who might be close by can find you, or you can find them. Registering for Find People will allow you to contact other Australians in America. Lasting friendships and Aussie get-togethers often happen in this way.

If you're just new to the whole Australian expat business, you might want to visit this page. You'll have lots of "that's me!" moments, and find a heap of tips and suggestions which will help ease your experience as an Australian in America.

There are many more pages on MUO for you to investigate at your leisure. You can find them all in the top-left Site Navigation menu. For now though, come on in to The Pub. Oh, we already mentioned that, didn't we?

Have fun! And Welcome!
